In Japanese, the word “sightseeing” is used to mean “to see the light”.
Each place’s cultural traditions are original and have been fostered over the years.

In Japan, there are many “festivals” in a year, most of which take place at shrines.
In Japanese, “festival” is read as “Matsuri”.
The word “Matsuri” also mean “to worship an ancestor”.
Furthermore, politics is also called “Masturi-Goto” and it including the same meaning as “Matsuri”.
We are grateful to the ancestors who created the current environment, and we have a desire to pass on a better environment for the next generation.

On the Shintoism, there are the word, “Keishin-Suuso”.

This means “to respect gods, and worship their ancestors”.
This is different from “God” in English, it shows, “gods” = “Yaoyorozu (several millions of)-gods” = “everything including nature”.
To the thought with feeling at the succession to whole nature, the descent from the Japanese tradition of the line was never extinct, and we taking over today. It express deep thanks, and awe and respectable.

To live a better life as a human today, we respect “clean, bright, right, and straight”.
Being “clean, bright, right, and straight”, in other words, its “Rei-setsu”.

This is the “Shintoism”, sense of value who Japanese people protected, through always conscious of “Rei-setsu” in their behavior.
